Are you in the Churchill Catchment?

Students must be living in the Churchill catchment in order to attend. Please check your home address in the school locator link to verify that your address falls in the Churchill Catchment for both regular and French Immersions programs. .

GR. 7 STUDENTS CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE CHURCHILL CATCHMENT (FROM VSB SCHOOL)

Students who reside in the Churchill catchment and attend a VSB elementary school will be given the application form from their elementary school in January. Please submit the completed registration form, along with required documents, to your elementary school office by Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

If your elementary school has not given you a registration form by the end of January, please double check the home address in MyEd with your school.

GR. 7 STUDENTS CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE CHURCHILL CATCHMENT (FROM NON-VSB SCHOOL)

For grade 7 students who attend a Non-VSB school and reside in the Churchill catchment, registration form is below. Please follow the application steps below:

ID of BOTH PARENTS (Driver License, Cdn Passport/VISA, Permanent Residence Card)

PROOF OF ADDRESS: Residency is required by Custodial Parent or Legal Guardian - Custodial Parent or Legal Guardian must be ordinarily a resident in British Columbia with a sufficient degree of continuity to ensure that there is a settle purpose other than to obtain free public education:

And Two of Secondary Documents: (if you cannot provide a Primary, please provide 3 of the Secondary documents below)

Most recent Utility bill (internet/cable/cell phone/hydro/gas) showing parent name and home address
BC Driver’s License/BC ID or BC vehicle registration (pages 1 & 2)
Most recent Canadian bank account/credit card statement - showing parent name and address
Re-direction Information from Canada Post, if you have recently moved - showing parent name and address
Current Year Income Tax Notice of Assessment - showing parent name and home address.

Step 3: Submit all documents in-person to the Churchill Main Office.

3. Copy of Child's Canadian Birth Certificate

4. Copy of Parents' ID

5. Copies of proof of address (3 documents as indicated above)

STUDENTS RETURNING TO CHURCHILL (attending VLN)

If you are still living in the Churchill catchment, your child previously attended Churchill and is currently registered at VLN, please follow the application steps:

Step 1: Prepare required documents:

If you are living in the Churchill catchment and your child already attends another VSB school, please follow the application steps:

Step 1: Complete Transfer Form from your current school.

Step 2: Submit Transfer Form to your new school.

Step 3: Prepare required documents:

IN-CATCHMENT APPLICATIONS (for students NOT BORN IN CANADA but have Canadian Permanent Residence/Visa status or for students BORN in Canada but HAVE NOT attended a Canadian school)

CROSS-BOUNDARY APPLICATIONS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - Schools do not process registrations for international students. Please register with the VSB International Education Department. For more information, please visit the website: VSB International Education.
