Catchment Boundaries
Under the School Act the Board must establish a catchment area for each school in the district.
Catchment Boundary Changes
In preparation for the opening of c?w?as h’elxwá7elch Skwuláw?txw Seaside, and guided by VSB Administrative Procedure 305, the VSB undertook a comprehensive school catchment review in the Fall of 2025. More than 270 individuals took part in this downtown catchment review process, which included adjustments to the catchments of Roberts, Elsie Roy, šx?w?q???θ?t Crosstown, as well as the establishment of a new school catchment for c?w?as h’elxwá7elch Skwuláw?txw Seaside. More information on the results of the catchment analysis is available here. The downtown area catchment changes were approved by the Board of Trustees at their November 26, 2025, meeting, and were reflected in the online kindergarten registration process for the 2026/2027 school year.
