Absences - Safe Arrival
To report your child's absence, please email SELAAttendance@vsb.bc.ca or call 604-713-5159 (school code #75).
Include your child's name, date(s) your child will be away, division number or teacher's name, and reason for absence.
Reporting Student Absences
Student safety is a top priority at Selkirk Annex, and ensuring students arrive safely at school is a shared responsibility. We ask families to notify the school as early as possible whenever a child will be absent. Messages can be left before the office opens and help us complete our Safe Arrival procedures efficiently.

Thank you for helping us keep accurate attendance records and ensure the safety of all students.
Student Sign-Out Procedure
If you are picking up your child during the school day, please sign them out at the office. A parent or guardian must be present.
When students return to school later in the day, they should check in at the office. Clear communication helps us ensure student safety and prevents unnecessary searches for students who have left and returned during the school day.
Late Arrivals
If your child arrives after 9:00 a.m., please stop by the office to check in.
If your child will be arriving significantly late due to an appointment, illness, or other reason, please call or email the Safe Arrival line to let us know.
